Pruflox (generic name: prulifloxacin) is an antibiotic.
Pruflox is indicated for treatment of infections caused by susceptible bacteria in conditions including:
acute uncomplicated lower urinary tract infections (simple cystitis);
complicated lower urinary tract infections;
acute exacerbation of chronic bronchitis.
Follow the directions for using this medicine provided by your doctor. Take Pruflox exactly as directed.
The usual recommendations are as follows
Patients with acute uncomplicated lower urinary tract infections (simple cystitis): a single 600-mg tablet is sufficient.
Patients with complicated lower urinary tract infections: a 600-mg tablet once a day up to a 10-day maximum treatment.
Patients with acute exacerbation of chronic bronchitis: a 600-mg tablet once a day up to a 10-day maximum treatment.
The tablets should be swallowed whole with water.
Tell your doctor before taking Pruflox, if:
you are allergic to any medicines;
you have any serious medical conditions;
you are pregnant or breast-feeding.

I had severe bronchitis with wheezing and unproductive coughing. Was prescribed Pruflox for one week after finishing a round of other medication. I felt dizzy and weakened for half a day but then it subsided and started to work. I went back for check-up with doctor who said after a series of tests that my condition improved greatly, there was no more wheezing. I got an UTI last month, as usually nothing pleasant, just nervousness, itching, swelling, pain and all the symptoms you might have in this case.
