Noroxin (generic name: Norfloxacin; brand names include: Norfloxacine / Apo-Norflox / Norflohexal / Roxin / Utinor) belongs to a group of medicines called fluoroquinolone antibiotics.

The usual dosage for uncomplicated gonorrhea is 800 mg as a single dose.
The usual dosage for prostatitis is 400 mg every 12 hours for 4 weeks.
A lower dose may be required in patients with kidney problems.
