Triexer
Description
Triexer (generic name: glimepiride / pioglitazone / metformin) is a combination antidiabetic drug.
Triexer tablets are indicated as an adjunct to diet and exercise to lower blood glucose. It is indicated as second-line therapy when diet, exercise, single agents and dual combination therapy do not result in adequate glycaemic control in patients with type 2 diabetes.
Each Triexer tablet contains
glimepiride 2 mg
pioglitazone hydrochloride 15 mg
metformin hydrochloride extended release 500 mg
or
glimepiride 3 mg
pioglitazone hydrochloride 15 mg
metformin hydrochloride extended release 500 mg
Recommendations
Follow the directions for using this medicine provided by your doctor. Take Triexer exactly as directed.
Triexer should be given once daily with meals and should be started at a low dose.
The initial recommended dose is one tablet of Triexer once daily.
Precautions
Tell your doctor before taking Triexer, if:
you are allergic to any medicines;
you have any serious medical conditions including kidney or heart failure;
you are pregnant or breast-feeding.
