Medrol
Description
Medrol (generic name: Methylprednisolone; brand names include: Zempred / Phocenta / Solu-Medrol / Cadista) belongs to the group of medicines known as corticosteroids.
Medrol is prescribed for the treatment of various conditions including endocrine (hormonal) disorders when the body does not produce enough of its own steroids. It is also used to treat many immune and allergic disorders, such as arthritis, lupus, psoriasis, asthma, ulcerative colitis, and Crohn's disease.

The usual prescribed dose of Medrol for adults and teenagers is 4 to 160 milligrams (mg) every one or two days, as a single dose or divided into several doses. For children, dose is based on body weight or size and must be determined by the consulting physician.
